Ultimately the overly serious tone and lack of energy telling the story make ‘Natural City’ a frustrating and hollow experience.

Definitely not to everyone’s taste, but ink black humour and Choi’s powerhouse performance prevent ‘Oldboy’ from becoming unendurable.

It would take something quite exceptional to take such cliched elements and make them stand out from the crowd and while it’s an enjoyable feel-good film it’s not the kind of the production that leaves much of a lasting impression.

A visually stunning piece of sci-fi Anime, ‘Wonderful Days’ is thrilling to look at but let down by a hollow core and one dimensional characters.
