Blu-ray, DVD & Digital release: ‘Free And Easy’

FilmRise are bringing the 2017 Chinese crime comedy ‘Free And Easy’ (轻松+愉快) to UK Digital, DVD and Blu-ray on August 15, 2017.

Directed by Geng Jun, the film centres around a crime that takes place in a desolate Chinese town and sets the strange residents against each other. The cast includes Zhang Zhiyong, Xu Gang, Gu Benbin, Xue Baohe, Wang Xuxu, Zhang Xun, and Yuan Liguo.

Synopsis: A crook visits a gloomy, snowbound village in northeast China bringing “magic” soap used to incapacitate his victims so that while they are unconscious he can rob them. He encounters a religious Christian man who is intent on re-uniting with his missing mother, a fake monk who uses his disguise to con people into donating to his “temple,” a forest ranger pursuing the thief who is stealing his trees, and the two police officers who are trying to catch the corrupt “soap salesman” who have — literally — no clue. In the midst of all of this, a murder takes place. This group of grifters suspects and scams each other while hugging, caring and chilling.
