The first still has been released for the upcoming South Korean crime drama ‘The Drug King’ (마약왕). Due for release this summer, the film stars Song Kang-Ho as a drug smuggler who builds his empire in Busan’s crime underworld in the 1970s.
Inspired by real-life events, the film is directed by Woo Min-Ho, who was also behind the 2015 political thriller ‘Inside Men’, which dissected the corruption within various strands of Korean society.
Other cast members in ‘The Drug King’ include Jo Jung-Suk, Bae Doo-Na, Lee Sung-Min, and Kim Dae-Myung.
