Huang Xiaoming to star in new live-action ‘City Hunter’ movie

A new Chinese live-action adaptation of Tsukasa Hojo’s detective comedy manga ‘City Hunter’ has just been given the green light.
Set to be directed by Stanley Tong (‘Rumble in the Bronx‘), the film will feature actor Huang Xiaoming (‘Hollywood Adventures’) in the lead role and is scheduled to hit theatres in December 2018.
As many fans will know, the exploits of Ryo Saeba have already been adapted for the big/small screen several times before. These include four animated television series, three television specials, two original video animations, an animated feature film, a live-action Hong Kong film starring Jackie Chan, and a Korean live-action TV drama.
