Jackie Chan joins Joe Carnahan’s ‘Five Against a Bullet’

By   |  Dec 8, 2016

Jackie Chan has signed on to play a bodyguard in Joe Carnahan’s (‘The Grey’) new action movie, ‘Five Against a Bullet’.

Set in a small Mexican town, the film revolves around five world-weary bodyguards who are hired to protect a Mexican politician after his father is murdered by a drug cartel, ahead of an important election.

‘Five Against a Bullet’ has actually been kicking around Hollywood for sometime, with Bruce Willis originally attached to star a few years back. However, he has since left the project and Carnahan was bought on board in 2014 to direct and re-write the script by ‘Predators’ scribe Alex Litvak.

No word yet on whether Carnahan is still directing or who will play the other bodyguards, but we’ll keep you updated.

Update (23/02/17): Jeffrey Nachmanoff has now signed on to direct, with Chan supposedly still attached to star.
