Nice idea. If I may;
Fave Asian film: Seven Smaurai Fave stars: Jackie (legend), Mifune Toshiro (dude) Hwang Jang Lee (Badass) Film that started it: Probably Akira or Tetsuo. Kung Fu came later. First amazing kung fu movie I saw was Shaolin Temple 3 and Mystery Of Chess Boxing. Like it so much that: I live in Japan and get ridiculed for my love of Jidaigeki.

I didn't realise King Of Comedy was one of your favourites Mike. It was one of the first Chow Sing Chi films I watched that made me take him seriously - well if you know what I mean.

It's amazing what an impact 'Mr.Vampire' had on everyone! It really is one of a kind.

I didn't realise it either, Andrew. When I had a think about my favourite HK film, a few movies popped straight into my mind. They were Police Story 3, Miracles, Infernal Affairs, Magnificent Ruffians, Shaolin Soccer and King of Comedy. Maybe on a different day I would have picked a different film, but I'm happy to stick with KoC for this thread. Stephen Chow is possibly the most talented man working in the HK film industry today.

I realise now that I should have just put 'Three Brothers' for favourite stars as well! Can't miss out Yuen Biao!
