I assume someone must, otherwise they would have stopped putting them in there years ago :)

I guess they are like Marmite, or the pickles Macdonalds insist in putting in their burgers...

They were not always in there. They were brought in to replace peanuts.

Funny you should say that. I was eating a packet the other day, and was sure that when I was a kid they had peanut ones. So a little wikipedia....
