Jiung Hu

Postby martin on Wed Nov 18, 2009 6:37 pm

We're getting a belated release of this flick (I think this came out as a follow up to the Infernal Affairs films if I remember correctly). The reason for the post is - who the hell is Andy Lay? :P

I almost wish they'd left it...

I guess it's strange because it's taken so long and is so readily available elsewhere, but if I remember correctly it's worth a watch. Can't be that good though because I know I've seen it but am struggling to remember it...

This isn't another Tartan rerelease is it?

I don't believe they released it before. I think it was one of the films that Tartan acquired the rights to but never got around to releasing so they are just throwing it out there now.

I liked Gong Wu a lot, so will pick this up as I misplaced my old HK DVD.

I am a huge fan of the writer Chirstine To http://hkmdb.com/db/people/view.mhtml?id=16109&display_set=eng. She did stellar work here, on Hua Yun Jia and Secret. I believe her script for this was as part of a competition, which she won.

Too bad Murderer let her down a bit. Still looking forward to her True Legend.
