Pretty much as the title implies, I can curious as to what people would say have been their movie highlights of 2011 so far?

As I just posted in what have you seen, mine would be Peter Chan's Wuxia.

I'm not sure what I expected from it, going in, but it blew me away with it's old fashioned storytelling and new fashioned film-making skill.

And Donnie, you just gave a performance that rivals (in my estimation, betters) Ip Man. Also, Jimmy Wang Yu is fantastic. Absolutely brilliant in his final confrontation with Yen, and I am not talking fists or feet, he really holds his own in the acting stakes.

My highlight for the year, if not that past decade for Japanese films, would be Takashi Miike's 13 Assassins, by far. Great movie.
