Worst sequels...

A very recent addition to this list has to be 'My Sassy Girl 2', an unofficial sequel and a real stinker. It was one of the most torturous films I've sat through for a long time. Another awful Mainland film!

What about Twins Effect 2? I know a lot of people hated the first, but at least it never took itself too seriously and had a genuine sense of fun. The sequel tried to be a big budget martial arts actioner but failed miserably.

Although it's not the worst film ever, I'd also put Seoul Raiders in there. Tokyo Raiders still stands out today as something of an unsung gem, with solid action, an entertaining story and some great chemistry between the leads. Seoul Raiders had lots of pretty people and a glossy look but it was shallow as hell with not an ounce of originality.

I also considered adding Storm Warriors into the mix but in all honesty I never really rated Storm Riders that highly so it's not much of a step down.

Seoul Raiders was a let down after Tokyo... Not bad, just so mundane.

While perhaps not the worst, I'd probably have to throw one or both of the 'Ong Bak' sequels into the pile. A far too ambitious attempt at upgrading the style of the first movie, with even Tony Jaa's moves getting old really quickly.

ONG BAK 2 is my fave of the new Thai stuff a lot more enjoyable for me than the 1st one I founded the non-action scenes in the 1st one to be quite dull whoever the 2nd was actually interesting in non-action....not seen 3 though
