PANMEDIA

Are the Panmedia releases legit? I`m sure i`ve read somewhere that they are 'unofficial'. The U.S does have that Public Domain law tho.

I have Pantyhose Hero on this label and it looks like a possible vhs transfer. Maybe from the old Eastern Heroes cassette?

No they aren't legit, they're bootleggers and bad ones at that. Most of their transfers are taken from VHS masters so they are usually terrible quality

i`ve seen that they often have more than one version of a movie(subbed/dubbed versions).

I think that public domain law allows anybody to release anything which doesn`t already have a legit release there. Even if there is a release in another country i believe

The public domain thing is bollocks.

There's only a handful of movies in the US that can be considered 'public domain'.

None of the movies Panmedia release are public domain. They're thieves.

PanMedia - spit! :x

Some of the old Angela Mao films that PanMedia put out have now been issued by Joy Sales as part of their Classic Collection. Where do PanMedia now stand on that or is it just a USA thing?

Its a USA thing I think so until someone officially owns the rights in North America, they can carry on releasing their crap versions.

Its a shame really because they clearly have a good eye for what films people want to see but no one takes the initiative of releasing legitimate versions.
