Mega Star have announced the HK DVD and Blu-Ray releases of 'Monga' for the 9th July, 2010. Beating even 'Avatar' at the local box office, the Taiwanese youth gang epic takes audiences back to the 1980s, to a time of rousing fistfights, loud floral shirts, and good old-fashioned brotherhood.

South Korean actor and singer Park Yong-ha, 33, has been found dead at his home in southern Seoul. Park was discovered in the early hours of this morning hanging from a cell phone charging cable in his room. Despite the lack of a note, the police currently believe it to be a suicide.

A second teaser trailer and poster art have been released for 'Legend Of The Fist: Return Of Chen Zhen', director Andrew Lau's new martial arts actioner. Written and produced by Gordon Chan, the film is a continuation of the story of Chen Zhen, the fictional character made famous by Bruce Lee in 'Fist Of Fury'.

Planis have announced the Korean DVD release of 'Closer To Heaven' for the 15th July, 2010. Directed by Park Jin Pyo ('You Are My Sunshine'), the film is a heartwrenching melodrama that chooses to depict romance persevering against an incurable illness.

The VIZ Cinema in San Francisco is offering a July theme of 'Beyond The Battles', which will include a wide array of action and samurai films as well as a series of screenings to celebrate the 'Ghost In The Shell' saga. Vicol Entertainment have announced the HK DVD release of 'The Taste Of Fish' for the 29th June, 2010. Based on a manga series, the film centres around a businessman who enters the world of Tokyo's Tsukiji Fish Market and becomes so fascinated that he decides to work there full time.

A teaser trailer and poster art have been released for 'Space Battleship Yamato', the Japanese live-action adaptation of the space opera anime classic. Directed by Takashi Yamazaki ('Always: Sunset on Third Street'), the film stars Takuya Kimura, Meisa Kuroki, Toshiro Yanagiba and Naoto Ogata.

Warner Home Video have announced the US DVD release of 'Battle League Horumo' (AKA 'Kamogawa Horumo') for the 6th July, 2010. Based on Makime Manabu's best-selling fantasy novel, the film is a wildly inventive and entertaining action comedy from director Motoki Katsuhide ('Gegege no Kitaro').

The trailer and poster art have been released for 'Doman Seman', a new surreal fantasy comedy from indie director Go Shibata ('Late Bloomer'). Packed full of bizarre elements and symbolism, the film's "magical realism" was apparently inspired by the works of David Lynch and Alejandro Jodorowsky.
