The first UK-wide festival devoted to Japanese Film, Zipangu Fest is presenting a Halloween Shlockfest Double Bill at the Barbican on 29th October 2010. The event will include screenings of 'Big Tits Zombie 3D' and 'Robogeisha, and will be introduced by Festival Director Jasper Sharp.

The trailer has been released for 'Gokutsuma Deka', a live-action adaptation of the manga by Masahito Kagawa and Issaku Wake. Directed by Takeshi Yokoi, the film stars Rio Matsumoto as the wife of a yakuza boss who is forced to infiltrate the criminal underworld to help her husband.

Warner Home Video have announced the US DVD release of 'Detroit Metal City' for the 9th November, 2010. Based on Kiminori Wakasugi's popular manga and directed by Toshio Lee, the film follows the unlikely double life of a nerdy aspiring pop singer who becomes a devil-loving death metal rocker.

The nominations list has been announced for the 47th Golden Horse Awards, which is being held in Taoyuan County, Taiwan on the 20th November, 2010. The ceremony will feature a total of twenty four awards, including Best Picture, Best Actor/Actress, Best Director and Best Action Choreography.

A second trailer has been released for 'Shanty Town Show Down', a new martial arts action comedy directed by and starring Dean Alexandrou ('Tom Yum Goong'). Shot in Bangkok, Thailand, the film is set to feature a combination of parkour, free running, Martial Arts tricks, and insane stunts.

Planis have announced the Korean DVD release of 'Dreams Come True' (AKA 'On The Pitch') for the 21st October, 2010. Set during the 2002 World Cup in Korea and Japan, the film is a comedy that sees soldiers from North and South Korea partaking in a football match along the DMZ.

Manga Entertainment have announced the UK DVD and Blu-Ray releases of 'Eden Of The East' for the 29th November, 2010. Created, directed and written by Kenji Kamiyama, the series follows the adventures of a young man after he wakes up naked outside the White House with no memories.
