Martial arts actor Kane Kosugi will star in a new film that it is being described as the Asian equivalent of a James Bond movie. Going by the name of 'Silent Storm', the project is going to be an international collaboration between Japan, the United States, Korea, and Hong Kong.

The trailer has been released for 'Re:Play Girls', a new Japanese action-thriller from debut director Yuki Saito. The film stars 12 girls from various idol groups as high school students who participate in a bizarre online suicide game that will allow the winner to replay their own life.

Gold Typhoon have announced the Taiwanese DVD release of 'Zoom Hunting' for the 24th September, 2010. Directed by Cho Li, the film is a mystery-thriller that centres around two sisters who get more than they bargained for when they become spectators to a possible murder happening across the street.

The trailer has been released for 'Quiz King', a new Korean comedy from director Jang Jin ('Good Morning President'). The film centres around a group of individuals who all accidentally discover the final answer for a famous quiz show, forcing them to compete against each other to be the overall winner.

Mega Star have announced the HK DVD and Blu-Ray releases of 'Aftershock' for the 17th September, 2010. Directed by Feng Xiaogang ('The Banquet'), the film focuses on a young woman's traumatic memory of surviving the Tangshan earthquake that took the lives of over 240,000 people.

The trailer has been released for 'Murderer', the latest offering from Korean director Na Hong-jin ('The Chaser'). The film stars Ha Jung-woo ('Boat') as a killer who comes to Korea to settle a debt, but ends up being targeted by another professional assassin, played by Kim Yun-seok ('Jeon Woo Chi').

Hip-hop artist and actor RZA is going to direct and star in his own kung fu movie entitled 'The Man With The Iron Fist'. Cowritten by Eli Roth, the film is going to be set in feudal China and will feature RZA as a weapons-making Blacksmith while Russell Crowe has apparently signed on to play "the baddest man alive".

Metrodome have announced the UK DVD release of 'The Legend Is Born: Ip Man' for the 20th September, 2010. Directed by Herman Yau ('Gong Tau'), the film is a compelling new chapter in the Ip Man saga that deals with the younger-day exploits of the Wing Chun grandmaster.

The trailer has been released for 'Bloodproof', a new Korean serial killer thriller directed by Kim Gok and Kim Sun. The film focuses on the lives of four individuals, all of whom have their own reasons for trying to track down and rid the world of a gasmask wearing serial killer.

Pink Eiga have announced the US DVD release of 'Sexy Timetrip Ninjas' for the 14th October, 2010. Directed by Academy Award Winner Yojiro Takita ('Departures'), the film centres around two ninjas from rival clans who are forced to work (and play) together when they wind up being transported to 1980s Tokyo.
