Manga Entertainment have announced the UK DVD release of 'Baccano! The Complete Collection' for the 11th October, 2010. Directed by Takahiro Omori, the 16-episode anime series presents several different storylines in brief fragments, with the action shifting from place to place and year to year.

Although previous reports had Chuck Russell directing, the latest news is that Jan de Bont ('Speed') is set to helm Zhang Ziyi's upcoming version of 'Mulan'. The film will star Ziyi as Hua Mulan, a young Chinese woman who joins China’s all-male army in place of her father to help fight the country’s invaders.

CN Entertainment have announced the HK DVD and Blu-ray releases of 'The Jade And The Pearl' for the 16th September, 2010. Directed by Janet Chun ('La Comedie Humaine'), the film is an extravagant fairy tale about destiny and true love transcending social boundaries.

Now that he is done with 'Shock Labyrinth 3D', director Taskashi Shimizu ('Ju-On') has started work on another 3D endeavour entitled 'Rabbit Horror 3D'. The film will star Hikari Mitsushima ('Death Note') as a girl searching for her younger brother who was dragged into an alternate world by a stuffed rabbit.

CN Entertainment have announced the HK DVD and Blu-Ray releases of 'Break-Up Club' for the 10th September, 2010. Directed by Barbara Wong, the film explores an on-and-off relationship with sharp observations about Hong Kong's 20-somethings and a light dash of magical realism.

The VIZ cinema in San Francisco has announced an intriguing new line-up of films and premiere events set to take place throughout the month of September. These include a special screening of Satoshi Kon’s 'Paprika', the 9/11 Truth Film Festival and the 2010 J-Pop Summit Festival.

Yuen Woo Ping's latest martial arts epic 'True Legend' will be arriving in UK cinemas on the 24th September, 2010. The film tells the tale of the legendary Su Qi-Er (Beggar Su), and boasts an all-star cast that includes Chiu Man Cheuk, Zhou Xun, Gordon Liu, Michelle Yeoh, Andy On, Jay Chou and David Carradine.

The trailer has been released for 'Cold Fish', a new serial killer thriller written and directed by Sion Sono ('Love Exposure'). Loosely based on a true story, the film stars Mitsuru Fukikoshi  as a tropical fish seller who is forced to get involved in a string of brutal murders when a deranged couple kidnap his daughter.

As part of their current series of Jackie Chan specials, the Podcast On Fire team have recorded an audio commentary for his 1990 ensemble prison drama 'Island Of Fire'. To make things a little more natural, Stoo and Ken dangerously chose to wing it for this one and didn't do a single piece of research!

The full trailer has been released for 'Garo the Movie 3D: Red Requiem', a film spin-off of Keita Amemiya’s 2005 tokusatsu television series. The story centres around a secret group called the Makai Knights who protect humanity from dark demonic manifestations called "Horrors".
