Kadokawa Pictures have announced the Japanese DVD release of 'Daimajin' for the 23rd July, 2010. Equal parts samurai drama and 'Godzilla', Daiei Studio's fondly-remembered film series transports the metropolitan mayhem of the daikaiju eiga ("giant monster movie") to sixteenth-century Japan.

The teaser trailer has been released for 'Gantz', the 2-part live-action adaptation of Hiroya Oku's science-fiction manga. Directed by Shinsuke Sato ('The Princess Blade'), the story centres around two college students who die in a train accident only to be brought back to life by a mysterious black sphere.

Buzz Pictures have announced the Korean DVD release of 'Zero Focus' for the 20th July, 2010. Directed by Inudo Isshin and based on the popular novel by Matsumoto Seicho, the film stars three of Japan's most acclaimed actresses - Hirosue Ryoko, Nakatani Miki, and Kimura Tae.

Although it was reported that the future was bleak for Hong Kong-based IMAGI Studios, it looks like they have managed to ride the financial wave and are now back in action. Thankfully, this also means that the big screen adaptation of 'Gatchaman' is back on track and they have even released a new teaser trailer!

Manga Entertainment have announced the UK DVD and Blu-Ray releases of 'Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood Vol 1' for the 23rd August, 2010. This brand new anime series provides a more faithful adaptation of the manga, whilst still retaining the artistic integrity, brilliant characterisation and stunning animation.

The trailer has been released for 'Bedevilled', a new Korean slasher flick helmed by Kim Ki-duk's former assistant director Jang Cheol-soo. The film centres around a troubled bank employee who returns to the isle of her youth only to find that her childhood friend has become the target of abusive villagers.

Ein's M&M have announced the Korean DVD release of 'Fly, Penguin' for the 28th July, 2010. Directed by Lim Soon Rye ('Forever the Moment'), the film is an humanist drama produced by the National Human Rights Commission, which is well known for the 'If You Were Me' series.

The trailer has been released for 'Redline', the new car-racing anime movie from animator-turned-director Takeshi Koike. The film, which follows the deadliest car race in the world, was written by Katsuhito Ishii ('Piroppo') and features the vocal talents of SMAP's Takuya Kimura, Tadanobu Asano, and Yuu Aoi.

CJ Entertainment have announced the Korean DVD release of 'Harmony' for the 21st July, 2010. Directed by 'Haeundae' assistant director Kang Dae Gyu, the film tells the inspirational story of a female prison choir and stars Kim Yoon Jin, Na Moon Hee, Kang Hye Won, Jang Young Nam and Lee Da Hee.

A second, longer trailer has been released for 'Midnight Heartbeat' (AKA 'Midnight Beating'), the new horror flick from director Zhang Jiabei ('Cherries'). The film centres around a series of bizarre murders in a hospital ICU and stars Francis Ng, Simon Yam, Yao Di, Li Nian, Liu Yuxin and Yang Yuyu.
