Cine Asia have announced the UK DVD and Blu-Ray releases of 'Robo-Geisha' for the 7th June, 2010. Directed by Noboru Iguchi with special effects from Nishimura Yoshihiro, this extremely inventive and over-the-top splatterfest features everything from samurai robots to geisha-tanks to acidic breast milk.

The trailer has been released for 'Detective Dee And The Mystery Of The Phantom Flame', the new Wuxia adventure film from director Tsui Hark. The story finds the real life Tang Dynasty detective, played by Andy Lau, being summoned by Empress Wu to solve a series of unexplained deaths.

Lace Group have announced the UK DVD release of '12' (AKA 'Underground') for the 21st June, 2010. Written, produced and directed by Chee Keong Cheung, the film follows the story of twelve fighters who compete in an illegal underground tournament for the prize of £500,000.

The trailer has been released for 'The Double Life' (AKA 'Side A, Side B'), a new black comedy from Chinese director Ning Ying. The film uses provocative elements such as nudity, a storyline involving an elopement and a suicide scene to pose the question of whether to choose true love over money.

Eureka Entertainment have announced the UK Blu-Ray release of 'Profound Desires Of The Gods' for the 21st June, 2010. Directed by Shohei Imamura, the film was an 18-month super-production that provides an extraordinary examination of the fringes of Japanese society throughout the 1960s.

The trailer has been released for 'East Wind, Rain', a new Chinese espionage thriller from actor-director Liu Yunlong. Set during World War II, the film focuses around a Chinese agent who attempts to uncover the Japanese codes used to alert their overseas diplomats of ensuing attacks.

Optimum Home Entertainment have announced the UK DVD and Blu-Ray releases of 'Ponyo' for the 7th June, 2010. Directed by acclaimed anime master Hayao Miyazaki ('Spirited Away'), the film tells the tale of a friendship between a five-year-old boy and a goldfish princess who yearns to be human.

Production has started on a new kung fu comedy entitled 'Legend Of The Blademaster'. Directed by Yuan Hong Bing, the film stars Ashton Chen (AKA Shi Xiao Long) as an incompetent swordsman who cheats his way around town by pretending to be the infamous Beggar Su.

Metrodome have announced the UK DVD release of 'Axis Of War: The First Of August' for the 10th May, 2010. The film is the first in a three-part series that takes place during the Nanchang uprising of the Chinese Civil War in 1927. The cast includes Liu Jin, Hou Youg, Wu Waidong, and Zhang Zaixin.
