The film centres around a 78-year-old jazz musician who sets out on one last trip to fulfill a promise he once made to his former bandmates - to one day play at the famous jazz club "Sone".

Mighty have announced the Taiwanese Blu-Ray release of 'Summer Wars' for the 10th September, 2010. Directed by Hosoda Mamoru ('The Girl Who Leapt Through Time'), the film focuses on an eleventh-grade math genius who has been falsely implicated in the hacking of a virtual world.

MVM have announced the UK DVD release of 'Samurai Champloo - Complete Collection' for the 6th September, 2010. Created and directed by Shinichiro Watanabe ('Cowboy Bebop'), the series centres around a waitress who rescues two swordsmen from their execution to help her find a mysterious samurai.

A film version of the hit TV series 'Struggle' ('Fen Dou') is set to start shooting in Shanghai this September. Directed by Joe Ma ('Dummy Mommy, Without a Baby'), the story is expected to differ from the television version as Ma wants to include "more fashionable and comic elements".

MVM have announced the UK DVD release of 'Texhnolyze - Complete Collection' for the 6th September, 2010. Directed by Hirotsugu Hamazaki, the futuristic anime series centres around an orphan-turned-prize fighter who, after losing an arm and leg, becomes the guinea pig for the next evolution of technology.

The trailer has been released for 'Frozen', a new romantic drama directed by Derek Kwok ('The Pye-Dog'). The film stars Janice Man as a woman cryogenically frozen in 1989, only to be woken up 20 years later and discover that her boyfriend has vanished and her newborn daughter is now older than she is.

Optimum Home Entertainment have announced the UK DVD and Blu-Ray releases of 'Mother' for the 20th September, 2010. Directed by Bong Joon-Ho ('The Host'), the film stars veteran actress Kim Hye Ja as a devoted mother who goes to desperate extremes to protect her mentally disabled son.

The trailer has been released for 'The Snow White', a new Thai ghost story directed by Sarawut Intaraprom ('Boring Love'). Details are slightly sketchy at the moment but from the looks of the very graphic trailer, the film will include everything from body snatching to desecration of the dead to black magic.

American martial artist Marrese Crump will headline a new action movie to be produced by Prachya Pinkaew ('Chocolate') and directed by Panna Rittikrai ('Born To Fight'). Entitled 'Formless', the film will deal with Crump’s "vision to blend great martial arts action with real combative strategies".

MVM have announced the UK DVD release of 'Ah! My Goddess - Complete Collection' for the 6th September, 2010. Directed by Hiroaki Goda, the 24-episode anime series centres around an unlucky student who believes his prayers have been answered when he accidentally summons a goddess.
