4Digital Asia have announced the UK DVD release of 'Hidden Fortress: The Last Princess' for the 28th June, 2010. The film is a remake of Akira Kurosawa's 1958 classic and tells the tale of hidden gold bullion and a princess on the run. The cast includes Jun Matsumoto, Kippei Shiina, and Masami Nagasawa.

The trailer has been released for 'Gothic & Lolita Psycho', a new tongue-in-cheek action/gore flick from director Go Ohara ('Geisha Assassin'). The film stars actress and gravure idol Rina Akiyama as a normal girl who transforms into a demon of vengeance after her mother is brutally slain.

It has been revealed that Hollywood action star Ray Park and Japanese actress/model Eriko Sato have joined the cast of 'Future Fighters', China's first ever international 3D sci-fi epic. Set in the 22nd Century, the film centres around a band of freedom fighters as they battle to defend the solar system.

A trailer has been released for the upcoming TV reboot of 'Nikita' starring Maggie Q. Hailing from the CW network, the show centres around a new Nikita who is trained to replace the original one after she goes rogue. Other notable cast members include Lyndsy Fonseca, Shane West and Aaron Stanford.

Manga Entertainment have announced the UK DVD release of 'Soul Eater - Part One' for the 28th June, 2010. Based on the manga by Atsushi Okubo, the series revolves around three teams of students at the "Death Weapon Meister Academy" who must collect the souls of 99 evil humans and one witch.

A very rough trailer was shown at Cannes for director Jiang Wen's new gangster flick, 'Let The Bullets Fly'. The film depicts a bandit gang from western China in the early 20th century and contains elements of suspense and black humour. The cast includes Chow Yun Fat, Carina Lau, Jiang Wen and Ge You.

Cine Asia have announced the UK DVD and Blu-Ray releases of 'Mulan' for the 21st June, 2010. Directed by Jingle Ma ('Tokyo Raiders'), the film is a lavish, live-action period epic that breathes new life into the inspirational Chinese legend made internationally famous by Disney’s 1998 animated feature.

The trailer has arrived for 'The Fantastic Water Babes', a new comedy from director Jeff Lau. In the film, Alex Fong plays a champion swimmer who is kidnapped by Gillian Chung so that he can help her train. The movie was actually completed in 2007, but was shelved after the Edison Chen photo scandal.

Donnie Yen has landed the leading role in director Soi Cheang's upcoming live-action adaptation of the classic Chinese novel, 'Journey To The West'. Entitled 'Monkey King: Wreaking Havoc In Heavenly Palace', the film will be shot in 3D (yawn!) and has a budget of 250 milllion yuan.

4Digital Asia have announced the UK DVD release of '20th Century Boys Trilogy' for the 31st May, 2010. Directed by Yukihiko Tsutsumi ('Happily Ever After'), the series is based on Naoki Urasawa's acclaimed science fiction-mystery manga and provides an epic exercise in both filmmaking and storytelling.
