Funimation have announced the US DVD release of 'Sgt. Frog: Season 1, Part 2' for the 24th November 2009. Based on the manga series by Mine Yoshizaki and directed by Junichi Sato, the show is a comedy that follows the antics of a platoon of frog-like alien invaders as they try to conquer Earth.

Manga Entertainment have announced the UK DVD release of 'Kitaro And The Millennium Curse' for the 28th December 2009. The film is a direct sequel to the 2007 live-action adaptation of Shigeru Mizuki's manga, and stars Eiji Wentz, Ken Ogata, Rena Tanaka and Shinobu Terajima.

The teaser trailer has arrived for the Chinese/Singapore martial-arts action comedy 'Fist of Dragon'. Malaysia's Michael Chuah directs, writes and stars in the film which tells the tale of a young martial artist who decides to unleash his fists of fury when he discovers that his hometown has been overrun by gangsters.

Director Song Hae-Sung ('Failan') has been selected to helm a Korean remake of John Woo's 1986 classic 'A Better Tomorrow'. Entitled 'Invincible', the film will have a 10 billion won budget and is reportedly going to star Korean Wave mainstay Song Seung-Heon ('Autumn Fairy Tale') and Kim Gang-Woo ('Marine Boy').

The teaser trailer has arrived for the upcoming live-action adaptation of 'The Girl Who Leapt Through Time'. Based on the manga by Yasutaka Tsutsui and directed by Masaaki Taniguchi, the film promises a fresh take on the story that will also pay homage to the anime movie incarnation.

E1 Entertainment have announced the UK DVD and Blu-Ray releases of 'Fireball' for the 18th January 2010. Directed by Thanakorn Pongsuwan ('Opapatika'), the film combines the breakneck paced sport of basketball with the bone crushing brutality of Muay Thai fighting and mixed martial arts.

CineAsia have announced the UK DVD release of 'The Beast Stalker' for the 4th January 2010. Directed and co-written by Dante Lam ('The Twins Effect'), the film is pulse-pounding thriller with plenty of emotional kick that stars Nicholas Tse ('Dragon Tiger Gate') and Jingchu Zhang (Rush Hour 3').

Fans of Park Chan-Wook's 'Oldboy' will no doubt be pleased to hear that the proposed Hollywood adaptation has now been cancelled. The film, which was due to be directed by Steven Spielburg and star Will Smith, was reportedly going to be a direct interpretation of the manga rather than the 2003 film.

Well Go USA have announced the US DVD release of 'Hard Revenge Milly: Hyper Violence Collection' for the 26th January 2009. The single-disc set includes director Takanori Tsujimoto's 2008 martial arts gore flick 'Hard Revenge Milly' along with its 2009 sequel 'Hard Revenge Milly: Bloody Battle'.

The first trailer has arrived for director Stephen Fung's ('House Of Fury') dance-themed comedy 'Jump'. Written by Stephen Chow, the film stars Kitty Zhang ('All About Women') as a young girl from a small Chinese village who is given the opportunity to become a professional dancer.
