Joy Sales have announced the HK DVD release of 'Tracing Shadow' for the 25th September 2009. Directed by Francis Ng and Marco Mak, the film is a rowdy kung-fu sendup about martial arts masters converging on a village to find a lost map. The cast includes Francis Ng, Jaycee Chan, Pace Wu and Xie Na.

Raymond Wong's Pegasus Films is teaming up with Mainland investors to produce what could be one of the most highly anticipated films of 2010. With an estimated budget of HK$150m, the project will be a modern day actioner that is hopeful of combining the talents of Donnie Yen and Tony Jaa.

MVM have announced the UK DVD release of 'Witchblade: Box Set' for the 19th October 2009. Based on the Top Cow comic book, the series centres around a mysterious woman who lives an isolated life until she discovers her ultimate fate as the chosen one assigned to govern the powerful Witchblade.

Japanese animation artist Yoshito Usui, best known for the popular manga/anime 'Crayon Shin-chan', was found dead at the base of a cliff on the 19th September 2009. Usui went missing on the 11th September after telling his family he was planning to climb a mountain in Gunnma prefecture, north of Tokyo.

Black Belt Books have announced the UK release of a new compilation of Bruce Lee proverbs entitled 'Wisdom For The Way'. Due out in October, the book touches upon a variety of Lee's favourite subjects, and defines the concepts behind being both a warrior and a martial artist.

Next up for Hong Kong director Dante Lam ('Beast Stalker') is yet another police action-thriller entitled 'Out Of Leash' (AKA 'Fire Dragon'). The film will star Leon Lai and Richie Ren as two cops, one of whom is being investigated by Internal Affairs for the suspected murder of a prostitute.

Manga Entertainment have announced the UK DVD release of 'Guyver: The Bioboosted Armor Collection' for the 21st September 2009. The 7-disc box set contains all 26 episodes of the 2005 anime series, which focuses on the adventures of a teenage boy infused with the powers of the Guyver unit.

The trailer and poster art have arrived for Jay Chou’s latest big budget extravaganza, 'The Treasure Hunter'. The film is helmed by Taiwanese director Chu Yen Ping ('Kung Fu Dunk') and revolves around a pair of lovers who accidentally fall into a time passage and find themselves in ancient Mongolia.

Viz Media have announced the US DVD release of 'Naruto: Shippuden - The Movie' for the 10th November 2009. The film is the fourth entry into the Naruto movie series, but marks the first to be based around the new series that is set two years after Naruto left to train with his teacher and mentor Jiraiya.

A 90-second trailer has appeared for director Sunao Katabuchi's ('Black Lagoon') upcoming animated movie, 'Mai Mai Miracle'. The film is based on Nobuko Takagi's novel of her autobiography, 'Maimai Shinko' and is being produced by the animation studio Madhouse.
