Momentum Pictures have announced the UK DVD release of 'Elephant White' for the 20th February, 2012. Directed by Prachya Pinkaew ('Ong Bak'), the film stars Djimon Hounsou as a mercenary who teams up with a weapons dealer, played by Kevin Bacon, to bring down a pair of ruthless gangs.

The trailer has been released for 'Love Lifting', a new Chinese sports drama from director Herman Yau. The film centres around a weightlifter (Elanne Kwong) who is forced to retire due to diabetes. However, after meeting her true love (Chapman To), she is encouraged to compete again.

Mei Ah have announced the HK DVD and Blu-Ray releases of 'White Vengeance' for the 18th January, 2012. Directed by Daniel Lee ('14 Blades'), the film recalls the well-known event where warring general Xiang Yu organised a banquet so that he could assassinate his biggest rival, Liu Bang.

The trailer has been released for 'I Love Hong Kong 2012', a sequel to Eric Tsang's 2011 Lunar New Year comedy. Directed by Wilson Chin, the film is a star studded family affair that portrays the living lifestyle in Hong Kong. The cast includes Eric Tsang, Teresa Mo, Denise Ho, and Bosco Wong.

The 2011 action blockbuster 'Quick' is now available to own on Korean DVD. Directed by Jo Beom Gu ('Three Fellas'), the film stars Lee Min-ki ('Oishi Man') as a quick service motorcycle driver who is forced to deliver a number of bombs in an effort to prevent his ex-girlfriend from being killed.

The trailer has been released for 'All's Well, Ends Well 2012', the sixth entry into the Hong Kong ensemble comedy series. Reportedly a remake of the 1988 movie 'Eighth Happiness', the film boasts an all-star cast that includes Donnie Yen, Louis Koo, Sandra Ng, Kelly Chen, and Chapman To.

The next member of the team to provide his top ten is Phil Gillon, who openly admits that his list leans heavily toward the action side of Asian cinema. Still, I think most of us can agree that it's packed full of quality and I get the sneaky suspicion that you'll be seeing several of these films on all of our lists.

Terracotta Media have announced the UK DVD release of 'Red Light Revolution' for the 13th February, 2012. Directed by Sam Voutas, the film centres around a luckless Beijinger who opens an adult shop to make ends meet, sparking a sexual revolution in his conservative neighborhood.

Warner Bros. have shut down the production offices for the upcoming Hollywood live-action remake of Katsuhiro Otomo's 'Akira'. Reports suggest that there are casting, script and budget issues plaguing the project, all of which have worried the studio enough for them to press the pause button.
