Eureka Entertainment have announced the UK DVD/Blu-ray combo release of 'Shogun Assassin' for the 29th November, 2010. Packaged in a limited edition steelbook, the release provides a stunningly restored 1080p version of the film which is fully uncut and in its original aspect ratio.

Mainland singer Li Yuchun, or Chris Li, and Taiwan singer Mavis Fan have joined the cast of Tsui Hark's 'The Flying Swords Of Dragon Gate'. Li will reportedly be playing a young kung fu master born into a bandit family, while the seldom seen Fan has been given the role of a witch.

Jinni's Animation Studios and Production I.G have revealed that they are producing a new anime show based around Masamune Shirow's 'Appleseed' manga. Currently entitled 'Appleseed XIII', the series will be comprised of 13 22-minute episodes, plus two feature-length compilation films.

CN Entertainment have announced the HK DVD and Blu-Ray releases of 'Shanghai' for the 4th November, 2010. Directed by Mikael Hafstrom ('1408'), the film revolves around an American expat who returns to Shanghai in the months before Pearl Harbour due to the death of his friend.

The trailer has been released for 'Kung Fu Wing Chun', a new romantic kung fu comedy directed by Joe Cheung. The film focuses on a young Yan Yong Chun (Bai Jing) discovering Wing Chun under the guidance of her mentor Wu Mei (Kara Hui) as well as falling for Leung Bok Chau (Yu Shao Qun).

According to Korean production house Chungeorahm Films, the upcoming sequel to Bong Joon-Ho's 'The Host' is being prepped to shoot in 3D. The project is expected to cost around 20 billion won ($17.6 million) and will be helmed by experienced commercial film director Park Myeong-chan.

CJ Entertainment have announced the Korean DVD release of 'The Servant' for the 3rd November, 2010. Directed and written by Kim Dae Woo, the film is a comedic period piece that offers up a new take on the classic South Korean romance novel 'Chunhyangjeon'.

The trailer has been released for 'Lover’s Discourse', a new romantic movie which marks the directorial debut of Derek Tsang (son of Eric) and Jimmy Wan. The film has been described as an omnibus movie that weaves four love stories into one, jumping genres from traditional romance to thriller.

Steven Seagal's latest action packed offering, 'Born To Raise Hell' is now available to own on UK DVD and Blu-Ray. The film sees Seagal playing an Interpol Agent who is assigned to an Eastern European task force to target gun trafficking and dope running throughout the Balkans.

Action superstar Jackie Chan will serve as executive producer for a new romantic comedy entitled 'The Break-up Artist'. Directed by Steve Woo, the film will centre around a young woman who runs an agency that helps estranged couples break up peacefully.
