Virgil Films have announced the US DVD release of 'Seven Days' for the 24th August, 2010. Directed by Won Sin Yeon ('The Wig'), the film stars Kim Yoon Jin ('Shiri') as a successful female lawyer who, in order to save her kidnapped daughter, is pressured into defending a vicious serial killer.

Mei Ah have announced the HK DVD release of 'Kung Fu Hip Hop 2' for the 5th August, 2010. Helmed by Hong Kong director Bowie Lau with action choreography by Ma Yuk Sing, the inspiring dance movie wins the approval of the post-1990s audience with more jaw-dropping action sequences and dynamic dance duels.

The trailer has been released for 'The Man From Nowhere', a new ultra-violent Korean ode to  the hard boiled American grindhouse pictures of the 1970s. The film sees heartthrob Won Bin ('Taegukgi') throwing aside his pretty boy image, and going on a one-man vendetta to save a young girl from captivity.

Cine Asia have announced the UK DVD release of 'The Legend of Fong Sai Yuk' for the 6th September, 2010. Directed by Yuen Kwai ('The Transporter'), the film sees martial arts matinee idol Jet Li portraying real life turn-of-the-century Cantonese patriot, the dauntless Fong Sai Yuk.

Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi will produce and star in a live-action English-language 3D adaptation of the Chinese folktale Mulan. The project is reportedly being backed by Disney and is set to be directed by Chuck Russell, whose previous credits include 'The Mask' and 'The Scorpion King'.

Cine Asia have announced the UK DVD and Blu-Ray releases of 'The Sword With No Name' for the 20th September, 2010. The film is an action-packed adaptation of the life of Empress Myseongseong, a Joseon Dynasty leader who stood strong in the face of seemingly overwhelming foreign aggression.

The VIZ Cinema in San Francisco kicks off the month of August with a theme entitled “The Winding Road to Peace”. The season is designed to showcase a selection of Japanese World War II films to tie in with the 55th Anniversary of both the atomic bombings of Hiroshima/Nagasaki and the end of the war.

The trailer has been released for 'All About Love', a new romantic comedy from director Ann Hui. The film stars Vivan Chow and Sandra Ng as two bi-sexual women who are brought together after they both accidentally become pregnant. Other cast members include William Chan, Joey Meng and Eddie Cheung.

'Au Revoir Taipei' is now available to own on Taiwanese DVD, courtesy of DS. The film marks the feature debut of American-born writer-director Arvin Chen, and provides an eccentric mix of romance and adventure that showcases Taipei's charming nightlife.

A second trailer has been released for 'Detective Dee And The Mystery Of The Phantom Flame', the new Wuxia adventure from director Tsui Hark. The story centres around a real life Tang Dynasty detective, played by Andy Lau, who is summoned by Empress Wu to solve a series of unexplained deaths.
