'As One' On Korean DVD

 

CJ E&M have announced the Korean DVD release of 'As One' for the 23rd August, 2012. Directed by Moon Hyun-Sung, the film is based on the true story of the first ever united South and North Korean table tennis team that competed at the 1991 World Table Tennis Championships in Chiba, Japan.

Synopsis

South Korean table tennis player Hyun Jung Hwa (Ha Ji Won) and North Korean player Lee Boon Hee (Bae Du Na) are the top players of their respective national teams, but they keep finishing behind China in international competitions. In 1991, a month before the World Table Tennis Championships in Chiba, Japan, an unprecedented unified table tennis team of South and North Korean athletes is formed. Their goal is to take home the gold, but the reluctant players barely even get along when training starts. Before they can think of winning, they must first overcome their differences and learn to play 'As One'.
