After five years of waiting, Korean director Bong Joon-Ho ('The Host') is finally set to start work on his adaptation of the French post-apocalyptic graphic novel 'Le Transperceneige'. The film, which will be titled 'Snow Piercer', is being produced by Park Chan-Wook and will begin shooting next March in Prague.
The story follows a handful of survivors who find themselves on Earth's last remaining train, named Transperceneige. The train continues to move, following a circle in a desert of snow and ice. While the poorest live in pathetic conditions, suffering the cold and hunger, those living in the 'premium class' lust, party and live like Kings. The Transperceneige continues to travel in this vicious circle, but one day one of the 'miserables', Proloff, decides to change the status quo, discovering all the secrets behind Earth's last train.
At present, the only confirmed cast member for the project is actor Song Kang-Ho, who previously worked with Joon-Ho on 'The Host' and 'Memories Of Murder'.
