KD Media have announced the Korean DVD release of 'Champ' for the 13th December, 2011. Directed by Lee Hwan Kyung ('He Was Cool'), the film stars Cha Tae Hyun ('My Sassy Girl') as a down-and-out jockey who finds the strength to return to racing after encountering a very special horse.
Synopsis
Star jockey Seung Ho (Cha Tae Hyun) lost both his wife and his career after a terrible car accident. A few years later, he's barely getting by working at the racetrack, and trying to hide his deteriorating eyesight from everyone. After crossing the local bookie, Seung Ho flees to Jeju with his daughter (Kim Soo Jung), and ends up at Yoon's (Yoo Oh Sung) ranch. There, he comes across a stubborn limping horse, Woo Bak, whose life is on the block because it refuses to be ridden. Can a jockey going blind and a racehorse with a limp make it back to the track?
