Jeong Yong Ki's quirky romance 'Couples' is now available to own on Korean DVD, courtesy of KD Media. Directed by Jeong Yong Ki ('The Righteous Thief'), the film starts as a romantic comedy but transform into much more as different characters, couples, and stories begin to cross over.
Synopsis
Cafe owner Yoo Suk (Kim Joo Hyuk) meets police officer Ae Yeon (Lee Yoon Ji) under rather awkward circumstances. They're both held up by robbers, and he gets accused of sexual harassment by another woman at the bank. Later in the day, Yoo Suk gets a call from friend Bok Nam (Oh Jung Se) who claims to have news about his girlfriend Na Ri (Lee Si Young), whom Yoo Suk hasn't seen in two months. Yoo Suk and Bok Nam meet up at a restaurant, but both of them forgot their wallets. The next table over is Ae Yeon, who is by herself and just realized she also doesn't have her wallet.
