Eiichiro Oda To Oversee New 'One Piece' Movie

 

'One Piece' manga creator Eiichiro Oda will act as executive producer on a new 'One Piece' film due for release in December 2012. The movie, which was announced during a TV airing of 'One Piece: Strong World', will mark the first feature-length outing to be set in the ongoing New World Arc.

There has not been a 'One Piece' movie since 2009's 'One Piece: Strong World', although there was a half-hour short entitled 'One Piece 3D: Mugiwara Chase' released back in March. There will also be a new event short called 'One Piece 3D Gekiso! Trap Coaster' at select Japanese theme parks and theatres in December.
