'If You Were Me 5' On Korean DVD

DS Media have announced the Korean DVD release of 'If You Were Me 5' for the 31st January, 2012. Commissioned by South Korea's National Human Rights Commission, the film is made up of five shorts directed by Kim Dae Seung, Yoon Sung Hyun, Boo Ji Young, Kang Yi Kwan, and Shin Dong Il.

Synopsis

Directed by Kang Yi Kwan, 'Two Teeth' explores how South Koreans view North Korean refugees in their daily lives through the friendship of two middle school students, one of whom is from North Korea. Boo Ji Young's 'Nima' follows the eponymous hero, an illegal Mongolian migrant worker who holds a torch for his co-worker, a Korean woman who finds his attention bothersome. A Korean moving company worker defends his co-worker, a Filipino migrant worker, from a client's accusations of stealing in Yoon Sung Hyun's 'Banana Shake', but his defense may also be based on stereotype views. In Kim Dae Seung's 'Q&A', a female designer (Kim Hyun Ju) reports her boss for sexual harassment, but the boss presents a video of their encounter to the police that can be interpreted in different ways. Shin Dong Il's 'Her Story Taking' brings up issues of privacy, public information, and patient rights through the story of a patient's husband who loses his wallet at the hospital, and is refused access to CCTV footage to trace its whereabouts.

Artwork and trailer are below, and you can preorder the DVD now from YesAsia.com.
