'Inazuma Eleven' Anime Gets A Movie This Winter
A movie version of the 'Inazuma Eleven' game franchise has been green-lit for this winter. The soccer role-playing game was developed by Level 5 ('Professor Layton and the Curious Village') and has already inspired a television anime series that premiered in October of 2008.
The story for the series centres around Endou Mamoru, a very talented goalkeeper and the grandson of one of the strongest goalkeepers in Japan. Even though his skills are incredible, his school lacks a real soccer club as the 6 other members don't appear very interested. But as soon as a mysterious forward named Gouenji moves to Endou's town, the young goalkeeper sets out to find and recruit members for his soccer team.
The film is expected to go under the title of 'Inazuma Eleven: The Strongest Army Ogre Attacks'.
