Jackie Chan Producing 'The Break-up Artist'

 

Action superstar Jackie Chan will serve as executive producer for a new romantic comedy entitled 'The Break-up Artist'. Directed by Steve Woo, the film will centre around a young woman who runs an agency that helps estranged couples break up peacefully.

The $2 million project will be headlined by Lin Peng and Steve Yoo, two actors that previously worked with Chan on 'Little Big Soldier'. Director Steve Woo's only other credit is for the identically titled 2009 English-language film, 'The Break-Up Artist', starring Amanda Crew. However, Woo has stated that he doesn’t consider this new version to be a remake, since he’s adding new elements and lining up famous guest appearances.

'The Break-up Artist' is expected to hit Chinese cinemas next Valentine's Day.
