John Hurt Joins 'The Snow Piercer'

 

Veteran actor John Hurt, star of films such as 'The Elephant Man', 'Alien', and 'V For Vendetta', has snagged a role in Korean director Bong Joon-Ho's upcoming English-language debut, 'The Snow Piercer'. Hurt joins a promising cast that already includes Chris Evans, Jamie Bell, and Tilda Swinton.

Based on a French graphic novel, the story for 'The Snow Piercer' takes place on a train that endlessly circles a snow and ice covered wasteland. The passengers, the remnants of a devastating conflict, have to figure out how to live together and survive stuck in such a confined space.

'The Snow Piercer' is due to start filming in March, with Bong's fellow countryman Park Chan-Wook serving as producer.
