'Legend Of Chun-Li' Kicking Into Action

 

The new live-action film based on the Street Fighter franchise is beginning to generate quite a buzz throughout both the movie and gaming worlds. Entitled 'Street Fighter: Legend Of Chun-Li', the film stars Kristin Kreuk ('Smallville') as Chun-Li and will feature a number of cameos from the game's characters.

A poster for the film (pictured below) was unveiled at the Tokyo Game Show and the cast will include Neal McDonough as M. Bison, Michael Clarke Duncan as Balrog, Robin Shou as Gen, and Taboo as Vega. However, there could be one weak link in the form of director Andrzej Bartkowiak who we will all remember from such hits as 'Exit Wounds' and 'Cradle 2 The Grave'.

The film is scheduled for release in the US on the 27th February 2009.
