Intercontinental Video have announced the HK DVD release of 'Mural' for the 16th December, 2011. Directed by Gordon Chan, the film tells the story of a young scholar (Deng Chao) and his servant who are transported into the magical world of a mural whilst trying to escape some evil swordsmen.
Synopsis
On his way to the capital for the imperial examination, scholar Zhu Xiaolian (Deng Chao) meets an enigmatic monk (Eric Tsang) in an ancient temple, and soon Xiaolian inadvertently walks into the lively fairyland depicted on a mural there. Inside this enchanting realm of the immortals, a group of beautiful nymphs lives under the control of their powerful but merciless queen (Yan Ni). As Xiaolian gets caught in a web of romantic entanglements involving fairies Shaoyao (Betty Sun) and Mudan (Zheng Shuang), his uninvited entry unwittingly brings chaos to the immaculate world where men are forbidden. That arouses the wrath of the fairy queen, who vows to maintain the peace and order of her fairyland at any cost...
