Synopsis

Movie superstar Michael (Louis Koo) is roundly humiliated when his bride, actress Yuanyuan (Gao Yuanyuan) ditches him at the altar to run off with her childhood sweetheart, a simple miner (Wang Baoqiang). Resorting to alcoholism to soothe his broken heart, a drunken and dejected Michael inadvertently ends up in a truck, which takes him to a small inn on the remote mountains of Shangri-La! The innkeeper Sue (Sammi Cheng) takes this unexpected guest in, and nurses him back to health. Meanwhile, Michael finds out that Sue used to be his biggest fan. Love gradually breeds between the two lonely hearts, but Sue still can't get over her lost husband Xiaotian (Li Guangjie), who disappeared into the forest nearby eight years ago and has never returned...
