'Sleeping Bride' On UK DVD

 

Palisades Tartan have announced the UK DVD release of 'Sleeping Bride' for the 31st May, 2010. Directed by Hideo Nakata ('Ring') and based on a manga by Osamu Tezuka ('Astroboy'), the film is a tragic romance that tells the story of teenage boy who falls in love with a comatose girl.

Synopsis

Born asleep after a terrible crash, Yumi (Risa Hoto) grows up unaware of the world around her. After encountering her in a hospital, Yuichi (Yuki Kohara) grows up convinced that one day his kiss will awaken her like the princess of legend. When she finally does awake, they find that the real world is no fairy tale. Can they face the harshness of reality together? Or will it be too much for them to bear?
