'Struggle' Makes The Move To The Big Screen
Â
A film version of the hit TV series 'Struggle' ('Fen Dou') is set to start shooting in Shanghai this September. Directed by Joe Ma ('Dummy Mommy, Without a Baby'), the story is expected to differ from the television version as Ma wants to include "more fashionable and comic elements".
The 'Struggle' television drama was released in 2007. It focused around the character of Lu Tao, played by Tong Da Wei, and his strong career drive as well as his relationship with two girls. Upon its release it was the most embraced show among young working Chinese individuals.
No word on cast yet, although it is thought that some of the original actors will return alongside a handful of newcomers.
