'Sunny' On US DVD

 

CJ Entertainment have announced the US DVD release of 'Sunny' for the 21st August, 2012. Written and directed by Kang Hyung Chul ('Speedy Scandal'), the film follows the friendship between seven girls, starting with their time as troublemaking schoolgirls in the eighties leading up to present day.

Synopsis

Na-mi is a typical middle-class housewife with a teenage daughter and a ungrateful husband. While visiting her mother in a hospital, she is reunited with her high school friend, Chun-hwa. The two happily reminisce about the good old days. Na-mi remembered she was welcomed in Chun-hwa's clique when she transferred schools. The clique was called "Sunny" comprising of 7 girls who always hung out together. Chun-hwa is now terminally ill asks Na-mi to bring the old group together one last time. Hence the housewife's journey and trouble to track down her high school classmates!
