Teaser For 'Space Brothers'

 

The teaser trailer has been released for 'Space Brothers' (AKA 'Uchu Kyodai'), a live-action adaptation of the Japanese manga series by Chuya Koyama. The film stars Shun Oguri ('Crows Episode 0') and Masaki Okada ('Princess Toyotomi') as brothers who vow to travel into space together.

Synopsis

July 9, 2006, Mutta (12) (Shun Oguri) and his younger brother Hibito (9) (Masaki Okada) promised each other that they would become astronauts and go to space together when they grow up... In the year of 2025, Hibito was about to become the first Japanese astronaut to land on the moon. Mutta, on the other hand, has just been fired from his company and was struggling to find a new job. He has given up his dream and forgotten about the promise he made with Hibito at some point. However, one day, Hibito asks Mutta to listen to the tape which they recorded on July 9, 2006 at a nearby park where they first saw an UFO together...

'Space Brothers' opens across Japan on the 5th May, 2012.
