Teaser For 'Tenchi Meisatsu'

 

The teaser trailer has been released for 'Tenchi Meisatsu', a new period drama from director Yojiro Takita ('Departures'). Based on a novel by Tow Ubukata, the story chronicles the life of a 17th century master of shogi who turned his attention to astronomy and created a new calendar for Japan.

'Tenchi Meisatsu' stars Junichi Okada, Aoi Miyazaki, Kiichi Nakai, Kojiro Matsumoto, and Somegoro Ichikawa. The film is due for release across Japan in the fall of 2012.
