Trailer For 'East Wind, Rain'

 

The trailer has been released for 'East Wind, Rain', a new Chinese espionage thriller from actor-director Liu Yunlong. Set during World War II, the film focuses around a Chinese agent who attempts to uncover the Japanese codes used to alert their overseas diplomats of ensuing attacks.

Synopsis

An Ming, a Chinese agent, works undercover in Shanghai as a pianist in a local pub. His main mission is decode prearranged weather forecasts used by Japan to alert its overseas diplomats of imminent attacks. For example, if the weather forecast stated "North Wind, Cloudy" then it meant war with the Soviet Union. If the forecast included the words "West Wind, Clear" then it meant war with the British Empire. If the forecast included the words "East Wind, Rain" then it meant war with the United States.

'East Wind, Rain' stars Liu Yun Long, Fan Bing Bing, Yu Rong Guang and Kenneth Tsang. It is scheduled to open across China on the 21st April, 2010.
