Trailer For 'First Time'

 

The full trailer has been released for 'First Time', a new Chinese romantic drama directed by Han Yan. The film stars Angelababy as a college student who discovers that she has a terminal illness. At first she is distraught over all she will never have, but a new man in her life changes everything.

Synopsis

College student Shi has a terminal illness. There are many experiences she knows she’ll never have, like falling in love. When an old high school crush named Gong suddenly resurfaces in her life, she is swept away by his interest in her. Because side effects of her medication cause Shi to suffer from short-term memory loss, she records every detail of her time with Gong onto cassette tape in order to remember these treasured moments. The young couple’s growing love for each other unexpectedly begins to change her life. Gong lights up her world and inspires her to pursue her dream of being a dancer, in spite of the little time she has left. Shi’s mother, fearing for her fragile health, demands that they end their relationship but with Gong, Shi feels like everything is possible. Shi never imagined that it could be this way-- to love and be loved so wholeheartedly. But even as Shi cherishes this new happiness, she cannot help but question why Gong would choose to be with someone in her condition. Each time she tries to ask him, he seems to avoid the topic. Slowly, Shi senses that Gong is hiding something from her and begins to wonder: is this first love too good to be true?

'First Time' co-stars Mark Chao, Jiang Shan, Tian Yuan, and Huang Xuan. The film is due to open across China in March 2012.
