Trailer For 'Sleep'

 

The trailer has been released for 'Sleep', a new Japanese drama directed by Katsumi Sakaguchi. The film focuses around a 17-year-old girl who was raped as a child, and now spends all her time working as a masseuse so she can pay a detective to find the man responsible.

Synopsis

When Kotono was 15-years-old she was raped. Now, 17 years later, Kotono works as a masseuse and her daughter Natsume, who was born from the rape, watches - even when Kotono's clients want extra services. They live out of a van with their crippled grandfather Kai. Kotono no longer speaks because of the traumatic incident that occurred to her as a teen. The money they earn is used to hire detectives to find the rapist. Finally, when the man is tracked down they learn that he is dying.

'Sleep' opens across Japan on the 19th November, 2011.
