Trailer For 'Swing Me Again'
Â
The trailer has been released for 'Swing Me Again', a new Japanese drama from director Toshi Shioya ('Beat Kids'). The film centres around a 78-year-old jazz musician who sets out on one last trip to fulfill a promise he once made to his former bandmates - to one day play at the famous jazz club "Sone".
Synopsis
Hiroto is a trumpet player in jazz club at university. One day, his father reveals that his grandfather Kenzaburo, who his father told him was dead, is actually alive and they are going to live together. Kenzaburo has been in hospital for a long time with Hansen’s disease. Because it is a misunderstood and biased illness, his mother is hesitant about them living together. Hiroto however, immediately feels close to Kenzaburo, as he loves jazz and was once the leader and trumpet player of the legendary jazz band "Cool Jazz Quintette". However, Kenzabro leaves them without a word as he takes off to make sure he keeps a 50-year-old promise and to get back the time bound he lost. Hiroto follows him and is struck by his strong will, but for Kenzaburo, he knows all too well that time is starting to run out...
'Swing Me Again' is due for release on the 13th November, 2010.
