Trailer For 'Thriller Restaurant'

 

The trailer has been released for 'Thriller Restaurant', a new hybrid live-action/anime movie from director Masayuki Ochiai ('Parasite Eve'). Based on a popular series of storybooks, the film centres around the ghostly proprietor of a restaurant who likes to tell scary stories to the local children.

The original novels have already inspired  a horror anthology anime series that has been airing since October. Unlike the television version though, the film will only have 10 minutes of animated prologue followed by about 80 minutes of live-action sequences (which will use computer graphics for the ghosts).

'Thriller Restaurant' will open across Japan on the 21st August, 2010.
