Trailer For 'We Were There'
Â
The trailer has been released for 'We Were There' (AKA 'Bokura ga Ita'), the first of two live-action films based on the Japanese romance manga by Yuki Obata. The story follows a girl named Nanami Takahashi as she struggles with her decade-long relationship with a boy who has issues from his past.
Synopsis
High school life is a time for girls' true love to begin. That was also the case for the junior student, Nanami Takahashi. Her target is classmate Motoharu Yano whom two thirds of the girls in the class had fallen or will inevitably fall in love with. His charming looks were inescapable. But the heartthrob also had a darker side that he hides away. Nanami wishes that she could outdo all his past loves and help him forget perhaps the one who causes him pain even now. Overcoming many difficulties together, Nanami and Yano close the distance. Meanwhile, Yano's best friend Masafumi Takeuchi cares for Nanami with more than a friendly concern… Yano's ex-girl friend (who has already passed away)'s younger sister Yuri Yamamoto's hidden feeling crosses over with the two…A touching love story from high school and after their graduation. What are the destinies of these four hearts?
'We Were There' stars Toma Ikuta and Yuriko Yoshitaka. The first film is due for release across Japan on the 17th March, 2012.
