'Unarmed But Dangerous' On UK DVD

Anchor Bay Entertainment have announced the UK DVD release of 'Unarmed But Dangerous' (AKA 'Kung Fu Flid') for the 21st September 2009. Written and directed by Xavier Leret ('Mine'), the film is a brand new indie Britflick that mixes violent martial arts action with the brutal gangster movie conventions.

Synopsis

Disabled actor Mat Fraser stars as thalidomide victim and unlikely martial art fighter Jimmy Loveit, whose home is mistakenly raided by a gang of people-trafficking gangsters. During the assault, Jimmy manages to fend off the thugs and ends up shooting one in the groin, but not before his wife, Lu (Watkins), is also shot and their daughter is kidnapped. Understandably reluctant to involve the authorities in any way, Jimmy takes Lu to their friend's veterinary surgery for treatment to her gunshot wounds before heading out to search for his missing daughter. Unfortunately, the man Jimmy shot turns out to be the son of one of London's most powerful and vicious gangsters and his father is determined to get revenge on the perpetrator. Jimmy, however, is prepared to do anything to get his daughter back and to exact his own form of punishment on those responsible for hurting him, his wife and his child.
