'Underground' On UK DVD

 

Action Extreme have announced the UK DVD release of 'Underground' for the 18th May 2009. Written and directed by Chee Keong Cheung ('Bodyguard: A New Beginning'), the film follows the story of twelve fighters who compete in an illegal underground tournament for the prize of £500,000.

Synopsis

In the UK suburbs, an underground tournament is about to begin that will pit twelve of the world's finest fighters up against each other to compete for the prize of £500,000. Each combatant hails from a different background and has been handpicked for their incredible skills and unstoppable drive to take home the prize. But as we all know, there can be only one winner...

To coincide with the release of the DVD, an "Underground Fight Night Spectacular" has been organised as part of the UK's premier mixed martial arts showcase - Pain & Glory '09. The event takes place at York Hall, London on the 24th May 2009 (tickets available here) and will be attended by members of the 'Underground' cast and crew, including tournament fighter-turned-actor Mark Strange.
