What starts off in a very prosaic and none too exciting manner quickly develops into another winning entry in the Venoms’ pantheon.

Kung-Fu comedy has a handful of triumphs, many that are flawed entertainment and quite a few that are woeful. ‘Two On The Road’ is another good, but not great addition to the crowded field.

Sammo completists or very forgiving genre fans may want to exert the effort to find this relatively rare film, but even they will come away disappointed.

‘U.S. Seals 2’ features a truly awful script, some under-par acting and an abundance of bad clichés. Luckily though, Andy Cheng is on hand to save the day with some action choreography that is well above average.

‘Ultracop 2000’ is a risible film which attempts to be an action, comedy, fantasy film, but fails miserably on all counts.

For Rothrock fans, Godfrey Ho completists (if such people actually exist) and lovers of bad cinema ‘Undefeatable’ is, well, pretty hard to beat!

‘Underground’ is a martial arts action movie and for such a low budget British movie, is a pretty damn good one.

There’s much silliness, a lot that doesn’t make sense, some dodgy CGI, but mercifully a boatload of wicked fight action.

Director Isaac Florentine and star Scott Adkins team up for their fifth collaboration to deliver what is arguably both their best film to date and one of the top fight films to come out of America.

A glorious tribute to the Hong Kong action films of the 80s and 90s, ‘Unlucky Stars’ is a hoot and a cracking martial arts film to boot.

From opening credits that ape the Spaghetti Westerns of the period to its surprising epilogue wrap-up, ‘Valley of the Fangs’ is an equally surprising and unexpected hidden gem.

The peripheral cast all read like a who’s who of HK cinema, and it does not pretend to do anything other than offer 90 minutes of lightweight entertainment. Definitely recommended.
